14/12/20 The effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on neuropsychiatric disorders

On Monday the 14th of December, Dr. Kayla Stone will be giving a lecture about repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) as a treatment intervention for different pediatric neuropsychiatric disorders. In her research, she looks at changes in symptom severity before and after rTMS as well as changes in brain function and chemistry. Currently, she is involved in clinical trials looking at the efficacy of rTMS in adolescents with ADHD, major depressive disorders, and anorexia nervosa.
This lecture will be given in English and some neuropsychological knowledge is recommended as several basic principles will not be explained. Therefore this would be an interesting lecture for master’s students following the course ‘Academic Professional’ (AcaProfs). This lecture will only be available for AcaProfs and Brainwave members.
